A rebrand for a local boutique brand. This concept simplifies the motifs utilized in the original logo while introducing a clever utilization of negative space and an emphasis on legible typography.

Original Branding & Proposed Rebrand

The original logo for Muir’s Tea Room consists of a highly detailed illustration that emphasizes the brand’s elegant aesthetics in combination with its relation to conservation and sustainability. The mark is highly detailed and runs the risk of scaling poorly when applied to smaller products. 

The updated identity for Muir’s Tea Room has been simplified to provide a much more contemporary representation of the ideals and services offered by the boutique brand. The organic mark emphasizes the connection between enchanted themes, sustainability, conservation efforts, and the service of tea. 

Concepts & Sketches

When developing potential directions for Muir's Tea Room's new brand identity, many possibilities were considered. Explorations included lettermarks, abstract floral concepts, silhouettes that utilize negative space, and themes of nature and fantasy.

Typography & Color Palette

Typographic elements are set in various weights of Servus Slab, as its characteristics complement the organic qualities of the brandmark. 

The final color palette was selected as a means of emphasizing the brand’s sophistication in addition to its relationship to natural themes.
